Account Executive Senior (Structured Finance)

This senior role is responsible for managing a portfolio of structured finance accounts while balancing client relationships, credit quality, profitability, and risk.
You’ll oversee complex financial relationships and maintain a detailed understanding of clients’ financial performance, management, and industry dynamics.
The position combines portfolio management, credit analysis, loan administration, and relationship management across alternative energy and specialized finance structures.
You’ll review and process financing advances, monitor covenant compliance, identify emerging risks, and take timely action to protect portfolio performance.
The role also involves structuring changes to existing transactions and managing problem loans and workout situations.
You’ll collaborate with clients, vendors, internal credit and risk teams, auditors, regulators, and government program representatives.

Accountabilities:

• Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts, maintaining current knowledge of clients’ financial condition, management performance, industry trends, and portfolio risk to support profitability and minimize losses.
• Review and process loan advances for pre-development, development, construction, and revolving credit facilities, coordinating with clients, third-party vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely disbursements.
• Conduct ongoing credit assessments and monitor account performance through financial statements, covenant compliance, production reports, and other relevant portfolio indicators.
• Proactively identify emerging risks and opportunities, assessing their potential impact on individual relationships and overall portfolio performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to support deal flow and deliver a strong customer experience.
• Oversee problem loans and workout credits by developing action plans, coordinating with credit and risk teams, and guiding clients toward appropriate resolution strategies.
• Structure and underwrite modifications to existing transactions and present recommendations to management.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, regulatory agencies, and SBA/USDA representatives, providing documentation and responding to inquiries throughout audits and regulatory reviews.
• Prepare quarterly and annual portfolio reviews, presenting key findings, trends, financial performance, and risk assessments to credit and executive leadership.
• Maintain accurate and timely portfolio documentation while ensuring activities meet applicable financial controls, risk standards, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate across teams to address portfolio issues, support financing activities, and identify opportunities to improve client and business outcomes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services, structured finance, commercial lending, portfolio management, credit, or a related field.
• Demonstrated financial acumen, with the ability to analyze financial statements, assess creditworthiness, understand portfolio performance, and evaluate risk.
• Experience managing client relationships and communicating effectively with customers, vendors, internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory or government representatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial and risk information clearly to management and executive audiences.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across credit, risk, operations, finance, and external partner teams.
• Sound judgment and analytical problem-solving skills, particularly when managing emerging risks, problem loans, and complex financing situations.
• Experience with alternative energy financing, tax credits, or tax equity structures is required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate documentation, and make timely decisions in a regulated financial environment.
