HiFyve is hiring a Purchasing Agent!

Salary: $64,000-$82,000 per year

Schedule: Days Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM-3:00 PM Friday 6:00 AM-12:00 PM

Location: St. Paul, MN

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to support a growing manufacturing operation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials are available to meet production needs while driving cost savings and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Manage purchase orders from initiation through delivery and verification
Coordinate with production and planning teams to meet material requirements
Expedite orders and resolve supplier issues, returns, and discrepancies
Evaluate supplier performance related to cost, quality, and delivery
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost savings
Monitor inventory levels and support JIT and inventory reduction initiatives
Identify and qualify new suppliers to strengthen the supply base
Track purchasing metrics and maintain accurate documentation

Qualifications

3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Experience purchasing raw materials or production components strongly preferred
ERP system experience required (JobBOSS a plus)
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
APICS certification or supply chain education is a plus

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
Frequent walking and standing throughout the workday
