Overview

TRC is currently seeking a Principal Water/Wastewater Engineer you will apply general civil and environmental engineering design principles on a variety of public and private wastewater projects. Projects will include sewer evaluation and program planning, I&I planning and design, find & fix project support, development of Preliminary Engineering reports, lift station design, sanitary sewer system planning and design, asset management planning, jurisdictional permitting support, bidding, and construction phase support. Typical project responsibilities will include Client interactions and support, basic engineering evaluations, design, layout, modeling, Civil3D/CAD, and engineering report writing. You will lead the preparation of project schedules, environmental evaluations, design drawings, plans, specifications, opinions of probable construction costs, supporting documents, and permit applications. You will attend project meetings, site visits, and support proposal development and RFP responses.



Responsibilities

• Performing regulatory applicability assessments, preparing permit applications, and assisting in negotiating permits.
• Completing engineering calculations (i.e., for wastewater treatment and permitting).
• Interpreting data, conducting analyses, and comparing findings to regulations to ensure compliance.
• Preparing summary reports, technical memoranda, and email correspondence.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and estimates for various projects.
• Assist in the management of projects and support other project managers, including budgets, schedules, and client relations.
• May be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously.
• Business development activities may include interacting with clients to identify and develop new project opportunities, which will include maintaining strong relationships with clients, developing proposals, and networking with clients and project partners at conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Civil/Chemical engineering, or closely related discipline
• 15+ years of progressive experience in water/wastewater treatment consulting
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, ability to write well, and attention to detail.
• Ability to interact and collaborate with a wide variety of external clients, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders.
• The ability to work independently and with teams of specialists to meet client and project needs.
• Willingness to travel and periodically adjust personal schedule to meet project needs.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check.

Compensation : In accordance with local law, the salary range below is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program, which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators, which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $85,259.20 - USD $148,491.20 /Yr.
