Department: Gastroenterologist - Jackson Medical Group, JMG - Jackson North Medical CenterAddress: 160 NW 170th St, North Miami Beach, FL 33169Shift Details: 8:00A.M.- 4:30P.M. 3 Clinic Days and 2 Procedure days, M-F (on-call 7 days monthly)Position SummaryAs part of the continued expansion of the Jackson Health System, the Jackson Medical Group, a growing multi-specialty physician network of over 40 physicians who practice throughout Miami-Dade County at over 7 different specialty care centers seek to hire a Gastroenterologist (GI) to develop and build our specialty practice in Miami-Dade County area. The JMG Associate Medical Director/ Gastroenterologist is responsible for the planning, diagnostic development, management and evaluation of medical/services at the clinic/center of responsibility.Provides and maintains JHS Standards towards continuous, intensive direct medical diagnosis, consultation, and health care services to JHS patients.Opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of your patients.Strong clinical acumen and diagnostic skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.Average daily volume approximately 18 patients during clinic days. Average volume during procedure days 5-8.EducationDoctorate degree in Medicine is required. ExperienceGenerally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.License/CertificationValid Florida Medical License.DEA and board certification or eligible in GI are required. Other specialty certifications related to specialty are a plus.
