Description

The post service advocate is responsible for resolving healthcare benefit matters that arise after a medical service or treatment has occurred, primarily focusing on claims processing, billing disputes, and reference-based pricing cases. In this role, the individual will be responsible for processing appeals and ensuring they are submitted within the required timelines. Meeting these deadlines is critical, as missed appeal timelines can result in financial liability for the client. Job Description • Research and identify available healthcare options for members using the care navigation platform • Coordinate services such as imaging (MRI, CT, ultrasound), physical therapy, surgeries, and other medical services • Communicate with healthcare providers via outbound calls, email, and fax to confirm availability, services, and requirements • Review medical documentation and fax clinical notes or paperwork when required • Work with out‑of‑network providers to pursue single case agreements when in‑network options are unavailable • Navigating the back-end processing of medical insurance claims to ensure they are handled timely and correctly • Acting on behalf of members to negotiate and resolve balance billing issues or disputes from healthcare providers • Communicating case details between health services, operations, stop-loss insurance, and finance to protect the member from surprise costs.

This is a Contract position based out of Tempe, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
