Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Georgia Special Education General Curriculum Certification
• Certified to teach all middle grades content areas: Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies (credentials must be provided)
• Strong understanding of behavioral intervention and classroom management strategies
• Demonstrated experience writing and implementing IEPs
• Three completed professional reference checks (including at least one from a recent supervisor such as a principal, assistant principal, or coordinator)

Preferred:

• Prior work with GNETS or in alternative educational settings
• Experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral disorders
• Training in CPI, de-escalation strategies, or specialized behavior management

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted special education instruction and interventions as outlined in students' IEPs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and appropriate accommodations
• Employ effective behavioral interventions and positive behavioral supports
• Collaborate closely with school leadership, families, related service providers, and support staff
• Ensure compliance through accurate progress monitoring and documentation
• Adapt teaching across multiple content areas to address diverse student needs
