Diesel Mechanic

Description Hadco Construction is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and semis used in dirt and construction environments. This role ensures our equipment stays reliable and safe under demanding job site conditions. What You’ll Do Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems on heavy-duty trucks and semis Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime Troubleshoot issues related to equipment working in dirt and off-road conditions Complete work orders and service records with accuracy and detail Operate vehicles to test systems after repairs Respond to field service calls when trucks require on-site repair Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic working on heavy-duty trucks or semis Strong knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, and electrical systems Familiarity with DOT requirements and inspections for commercial trucks Ability to use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and technical documentation Welding and fabrication experience preferred Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required) Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen Physical Demands & Working Conditions Frequent lifting and moving of parts and tools weighing 50+ lbs. Regular bending, kneeling, and climbing on/off trucks and equipment Work performed in both shop and outdoor environments, often in dirt and construction site conditions Exposure to grease, fumes, noise, and heavy machinery on a daily basis Why Join Hadco?
