Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Chandler, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse position located in an acute care facility. This role involves providing patient care in a 30-bed COVID unit specialized in medical-surgical and orthopedic trauma step-down care, with a focus on monitoring patients with telemetry. The position requires recent clinical experience and certification compliance to ensure high-quality patient care. Job Details Position Description: Medical-Surgical with Telemetry. The unit operates with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on nights, serving general and orthopedic trauma step-down patients, including those with chest tubes, drains, wound vacs, and peritoneal dialysis patients. The unit has GE monitors, central monitoring, and protocols for managing ventilated patients (including CPAP). Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent clinical experience within the past 6 months. Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Special Notes: Pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer (max 2 attempts), and pass a simulation lab on day one of orientation. Float to MedSurg Tele C5 and B2C floors may be required, with two shifts on the floor prior to assignment. Additional Responsibilities: Ability to read strips, respond to central monitoring, manage ventilator and infusion protocols, and work with a team including charge nurses, unit supervisors, PCTs, and house SWAT nurses.
