Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Chandler, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Oncology Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse, MS ONC, located in the healthcare organization's Medical Surgical Oncology Floor, providing high-quality care for post-operative, chemo, and oncology patients. This role involves assessing, monitoring, and managing patients in a busy acute care setting, with a focus on cardiac monitoring and post-op assessment. Job Details Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a registered nurse; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Medical Surgical Oncology or similar acute care unit. Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The schedule includes four weekend shifts per four-week period and a holiday rotation. Additional Job Requirements: Ability to read and interpret telemonitoring strips; experience with cardiac monitoring on Medical Surgical units; pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (with a maximum of two attempts); participate in a simulated lab on day one of orientation; self-scheduling available; float to other medical-surgical/telemetry units may be required, necessitating tele/monitoring experience; scrub color navy blue. Responsibilities: Responsible for high patient turnover units including post-op colorectal, urological, bariatric, hepatobiliary, hysterectomy, and breast reconstruction patients, as well as chemo/oncology patients; assess patient status, manage cardiac monitoring including CPAP and high-flow oxygen therapy; support chemotherapy administration and patient care; collaborate with interdisciplinary team members. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; ONS Chemo Provider Card preferred but not mandatory. Additional Notes: The unit is equipped to admit overflow patients and may need to prepare rooms for "double-bunk" admissions. Charting is conducted via Cerner electronic medical record system.
