Creative Specialist - Luxury Real Estate Media (Photo, Drone, Video)

We make luxury real estate agents and high-end builders look their best through photography, drone, video, and twilight work across Rancho Santa Fe, Del Mar, Encinitas, Carlsbad, and Solana Beach. We are hiring one Creative Specialist to capture that work on site and grow with the studio. This starts as a part‑time role at roughly 20 hours per week and is built to grow. As you complete training and a short probationary period, we reevaluate together, and the right person can move into more hours and eventually full‑time. This is a craft role with a clear path forward, not an entry‑level churn job. About Aerial9 We built Aerial9 around a simple idea: less, but better. We are the marketing partner our clients trust to show up on time, treat multimillion‑dollar homes with respect, and represent their brand the way they would themselves. The bar for what leaves our hands is high, and the relationships behind that work matter even more. The Role You are the person on site. You travel to properties across North County, capture the media, make the agent or homeowner feel taken care of, and deliver shoots that are right the first time. You will shoot on professional Sony bodies, fly a DJI drone setup, and work to our shot lists and standards so our editors have exactly what they need. We train you on our specific systems and workflow. What you bring is a real creative eye, a reliable nature, and a presence that puts high‑end clients at ease. What You’ll Do Travel to residential and architectural properties across North County Coastal San Diego using your own vehicle (most shoots are within an hour of Carlsbad). Capture interior and exterior photography, drone photo and video, walkthrough and lifestyle video, twilight shoots, and 3D tours. Direct agents and clients on camera so they feel comfortable and natural, and occasionally appear on camera yourself for Aerial9 brand content. Follow our shot lists and capture standards so every property is consistent and on brand, and reshoots stay rare. Handle and transport studio equipment with care. Coordinate with our operations team on scheduling and any unique property considerations. What Success Looks Like (First 3 to 6 Months) Agents ask for you by name and want you back on their next listing. Shoots are right the first time, with clean and complete files for our editors. You handle back‑to‑back days calmly and professionally. You notice the details that make luxury work feel premium, and you care about getting them right. You are confident on both sides of the camera. Where This Role Can Grow More hours and a path to full‑time as you prove yourself and demand supports it. Lead shooter and quality owner across all field production. Post and editing work in our delivery pipeline. Social and brand content production for the studio and our partner clients. Helping train and mentor future creative hires as we expand. What We’re Looking For A genuine creative eye and a portfolio or samples to show it. You may not have shot real estate before, but you make work you are proud of. General comfort with professional camera gear and editing software, and the drive to master our tools. FAA Part 107 drone certification, or willingness to obtain it. If you are the right person and do not have it yet, we will support you getting certified. Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance. A warm, professional, outgoing presence. You read a room well, which matters in high‑end homes. Dependable and organized. If it is on the calendar, you are there, on time, and present. Physically able to stand, walk, climb stairs, and carry equipment across multiple shoots in a day. Primarily weekday availability, with some evenings for twilight work and the occasional weekend in busy season. Schedule Plan on roughly 20 hours per week to start, concentrated around shoot days and primarily on weekdays. Busier stretches (spring through fall) bring more shoot days and added hours, which is where the opportunity for more hours lives. Slower stretches (late fall through winter) are lighter and used for training and internal projects. Compensation Competitive hourly rate based on experience, plus mileage reimbursement for all work‑related driving in your own vehicle. After training and a probationary period, we review hours, rate, and the path toward full‑time together.
