Cardiac Device RN

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Device Registered Nurse to join our team in an outpatient clinic setting. The ideal candidate will possess a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) certification and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

• Active BLS Certification
• Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) - Required
• Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) - Preferred

Responsibilities:

• Manage cardiac device patients and conduct post-operative wound checks.
• Perform remote monitoring of devices.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Conduct device consultations and assist with peri-operative management.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems, including Epic and Vector, for documentation and patient management.

Clinic Information:

This position will be part of a clinic operating primarily Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Shifts will have staggered start times.

• Averaging 1-3 Electrophysiology Physicians and 1-4 Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Providers per day.
• Patient load will vary daily, with expectations to cover planned clinic visits and device consults.

Support and Orientation:

Team members will receive ample support from permanent staff, including one Device RN and one Device Medical Assistant. Orientation will span 2 to 5 days, including training on the EMR and preceptorship.

Location:

This position will require coverage of outpatient settings, specifically between Tacoma, WA, and Gig Harbor, WA.
