Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianWe are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team for a 10-hour night shift. This role involves maintaining equipment in full operating capacity and ensuring safety protocols are adhered to at all times.ResponsibilitiesMaintain all equipment in full operating capacity.Adjust soap percentages appropriately.Practice safe work habits and report unsafe conditions or actions to the department supervisor or manager.Calibrate production scales and process instruments when needed.Read maintenance instructions, manuals, electrical prints, and mechanical drawings.Adhere to safety and facility work rules.Keep tools accounted for, in good condition, and clean.Ensure work areas are maintained and clean.Perform assigned work correctly and efficiently.Maintain equipment per CMMS guidelines and ensure work information is accurate in CMMS, notifying the manager of any corrections or additions.Properly book spare part inventory items.Lift and manage weights of up to 75 lbs/35 kgs as required.Essential SkillsTroubleshootingPreventive maintenanceRepair and service skillsKnowledge of hydraulics and pneumaticsMaintenance repair3-phase electrical troubleshootingMechanical repair and PLC troubleshootingIndustrial and electrical troubleshootingKnowledge of Allen-Bradley systemsUnderstanding of wiring, industrial maintenance, and electrical maintenanceInstallation skillsAbility to read schematics and blueprintsAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to perform basic math calculations.High school degree or G.E.D. required.High degree of concentration and troubleshooting abilities.Ability to work in an environment with exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, high noise levels, cold, and heat.Ability to visually identify color differences.Three years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment.Knowledge of electrical control systems, HVAC equipment, and rubber industry production equipment.Familiarity with general industrial construction practices.Knowledge of welding, pipe fitting, conduit bending, and sheet metal fabrication.Ability to resolve conflict professionally.Why Work Here?Join a collaborative team where your skills are valued, and you have the opportunity to work independently. The work environment is not climate-controlled and can be dirty in various plant areas. Although the team collaborates effectively, individuals must be comfortable working independently.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Statesville, NC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
