Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will apply strong communication and customer service skills while reporting security-related concerns. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, production personnel, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, production spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter, helping to identify and report security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident reports.
- Communicate professionally with client representatives, employees, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, incidents, and required follow-up.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
