divh2Licensed Practical Nurse/h2pThe Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse./ph3Responsibilities:/h3ulliFollowing the care plan, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes/liliAssumes responsibility for assignments given, seeks supervision appropriately, and is accountable for his/her actions by performing within the limits of his/her education and experience/liliPerforms basic nursing procedures such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and monitoring patient conditions./liliAdministers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician and performs nursing procedures and techniques within scope of practice./liliUse equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently/liliUtilizes medical terminology to accurately document patient information/liliLift and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics/liliProvide acute care for patients with various medical conditions/liliAdminister tube feedings and monitor nutritional status/liliAssist with cardiac catheterization procedures/li/ulh3Skills:/h3p- Valid LPN license in the state of New York/pp- Proficient in suture removal techniques/pp- Knowledge of dialysis procedures and equipment/pp- Experience in infant care and knowledge of developmental milestones/pp- Competent in airway management techniques and CPR certification/pp- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices/pp- Understanding of ophthalmology procedures and post-operative care requirements/pp- Ability to safely lift and transfer patients using proper body mechanics/pp- Experience in acute care settings, including monitoring patients conditions and responding to emergencies/pp- Proficiency in administering tube feedings and monitoring nutritional status/pp- Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and post-procedure care/ppNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
