Key Responsibilities

As a Full-Time Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, you will assume various responsibilities that are essential for patient recovery and rehabilitation:

• Direct and oversee physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and enhancing functional abilities through tailored therapeutic interventions.
• Assess and evaluate patients' levels of function using diagnostic and prognostic methods including muscle, nerve, and joint testing to ensure individualized care.
• Collaborate with physical therapy assistants, supervising their implementation of care plans while ensuring dynamic patient engagement.
• Document clinical records meticulously, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, while ensuring compliance with both OASIS documentation and center policies.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively develop and evaluate comprehensive treatment strategies for clients.
• Educate and guide patients and their families on the use of therapy equipment and their overall rehabilitation program, fostering autonomy and independence.
• Utilize clinical judgment to make strategic recommendations for adjustments in treatment plans as needed, based on patient feedback and assessment outcomes.
• Maintain an open line of communication with physicians and case managers to discuss patient progress and optimize treatment protocols.
• Facilitate on-site functional assessments to determine patient needs and effective use of community resources, enhancing overall service delivery.
• Take initiative in pursuing additional assignments that align with the company's objectives and enhance patient care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with diverse patient populations, including those recovering from post-surgical procedures, individuals with chronic conditions, and patients requiring rehabilitation post-accident. It is vital to foster strong relationships with clients and their families while tailoring care to meet their unique needs. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must fulfill the following qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Possession of a current physical therapy license in good standing for Virginia.
• Two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly in rehabilitation or home care.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and a positive, patient-centered approach.

Compensation and Benefits
