Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Float Pool ICU position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and the ability to float across multiple pediatric and adult specialty units.

Details

• Float Pool position within a hospital setting, covering multiple units including a 34-bed PICU, 25-bed CICU, and 112-bed NICU
• Float coverage extends to acute care units including surgical, behavioral health, med specialty (GI, neuro, respiratory), hem/onc, step-down, and cardiac peds units
• NICU float assignments limited to feeder grower patients only (low acuity)
• Patient population spans pediatric and adult populations with varying acuity levels
• Trach and high-flow oxygen experience required; familiarity with infusion therapy expected
• Travelers are considered first line for skills-based assignments
• Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Weekend and holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Experience with trach care and high-flow oxygen required
• Familiarity with infusion therapy required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Full date of birth and full SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating care with physicians and support staff
• Candidate must be able to float across all children's units as directed
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one extension) before being eligible for another contract
• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association
