Sr. Credit Underwriter - Custom Mortgage - Global Wealth & Investment Management

Extends credit to and monitors loan portfolios of custom mortgage ultra high net worth clients. Works closely with private banking relationship managers, providing custom mortgage solutions to meet client requirements or reviewing credit standards. Possesses some loan approval authority. Employees required to register with the SAFE Act system and remain in good standing; failure to maintain registration may result in disciplinary action. Responsibilities Financial Analysis: Analyze and spread complex personal financial information using advanced Excel workbooks. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and mitigants; Escalate issues to appropriate approvers for resolution. Deal Management: Manage multiple transactions simultaneously throughout the loan lifecycle, from application to booking. Cross-Functional Communication: Regularly communicate and collaborate with partners across multiple lines of business to ensure alignment and timely execution. Required Qualifications 3+ years of commercial or ultra-high-net-worth/complex client credit experience. Strong familiarity with personal tax returns and financial statements. Ability to analyze complex cash flows involving multiple income streams. Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics. Formal credit training at a major U.S. financial institution. Custom or Commercial underwriting experience.
