Responsibilities include becoming familiar with study protocols, reviewing charts and screening potential study participants, conducting study procedures that may include blood draws and preparing specimens for shipment and testing, reading lab results, collecting and entering study data and preparing and maintaining documents. Responsibilities Evaluation & Implementation of Clinical Trials Review study protocols, primary disease category and investigational drug information. Familiarity with all study requirements. Communicate and coordinate with AU areas involved in the study (radiology, laboratory services, pathology, patient scheduling, etc.). Set up studies according to sponsor requirements and IRB policies. Adapt study for changes due to amendments and extensions. Recruitment of Subjects Familiarity with inclusion/exclusion criteria. Prepare recruitment plan with Principal Investigators and advertisements for institutional approval. Correspond with potential sources for patient accrual; liaison between sources of referral and Principal Investigator. Screen patients for inclusion/exclusion criteria and verify informed consent procedures. Conduct of Study Schedule patient visits, laboratory tests and procedures. Dispense investigational drugs per protocol and AU requirements under the PI direction; obtain laboratory samples; obtain vital signs; assist with physical examinations; conduct Good Clinical Practices. Medical Management Assess patient's general health; report adverse events within required time frame to sponsor and IRB. Notify PI of patient condition; assist in management of adverse events; schedule follow-up procedures for resolution. Study Documentation & CRF Completion Maintain regulatory documents; ensure documentation of procedures/tests; complete source documents; work with data coordinators to complete case report forms and data entry; enter patient information into OnCore. Reports & Financial Documentation Complete reports including annual study continuation report; prepare forms and submit IND Safety Reports to the IRB. Other Duties Perform other related duties as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in Georgia with a minimum of two years of clinical experience in a specialized area; or Associate's degree in Nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in Georgia with a minimum of six years of clinical experience in a specialized area; both with current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS/BCLS certification. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in health-related field or life sciences with ten years' oncology or clinical research experience. CCRC certification or eligibility; Oncology Nurse Certification. Knowledge of federally funded projects, industry-sponsored projects and investigator-initiated studies. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Flexible and well-organized; ability to maintain confidentiality and set priorities. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases. Experience performing blood draws, preparing specimens, and familiarity with medical terminology. Shift/Salary/Benefits Shift: Days/M-F (outside normal business hours may be required for exempt position). Salary Range: $68,500 annually - $84,692.30 annually; pay commensurate with qualifications within established range. Recruitment Period: 1/23/26 - Until Filled.
