As a Portfolio Analytics and Strategy Specialist Senior within PNC's Enterprise Risk Management organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA / Charlotte, NC / Cleveland, OH / Raleigh, NC / Houston, TX / Denver, CO / Dallas, TX or New York City. This role will primarily focus on data and automation of Market Risk analytics and reporting. It will require partnering closely with senior Market Risk executives to understand their analytics and reporting needs and then building the systems to automate these processes. This will include building databases when necessary, coding, and BI dashboard construction. To be successful at this role an understanding of financial markets and financial markets data is necessary as are technical skills such as coding and database design. Concepts around securities pricing, in particular derivates pricing, should be understood. Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language will be needed (i.e. Python, Java, C++, etc.). Basic knowledge of database design is also preferred as is familiarity with writing SQL. This job is entrepreneurial so a motived individual who works well with others and can create novel solutions is highly valued. Some experience managing projects will also be helpful as this is a role where managing more junior employees will be required. Overall, the successful candidate will have a broad set of technical skills, a good grasp of financial markets and financial concepts, and be personable and entrepreneurial. Job Description Provides financial and regulatory reporting and analyses to maintain adequate controls over the financial and regulatory reporting processes. Responsible for running complex business performance, risk and operational analytics. May include the development of analytical methods/models to assess market, credit and/or operational risk of new and existing financial products. Leverages business / product expertise to rigorously analyze large datasets, improve risk adjusted returns, deliver profitable growth, and communicate conclusions. Synthesizes analytical results and develops, recommends, and implements business strategies that improve lending decisions, assist in managing risk, increase revenues, reduce exposure to losses, meet business goals, and improve performance. Establishes baselines for strategies and tracks actual performance to expectations. Applies predictive models, third party data, and other tools to develop and execute appropriate segmentation and targeting for acquisition and portfolio strategies to provide insight into portfolio risk. Manages engagements with internal and external information suppliers ensuring solution is fit for purpose while maintaining appropriate governance and oversight. Understands and communicates regulatory and financial accounting impacts on the balance sheet to regulators and PNC control functions as appropriate. Interacts with regulators, internal audit, and management concerning credit portfolio analyses and credit risk appetite. Works with business, credit, data, and model development partners to design, develop, and monitor test designs and analytical reporting to track and enhance strategies. Designs / enhances standard reporting suites for regular product / portfolio reviews. Collaborates with the line of business, Finance, and Risk partners to assess and establish credit risk appetite and to understand its implications, as well as to establish policies and procedures governing the identification, monitoring, and management of risk appetite. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered. Education Bachelors Certifications No Required Certification(s) Licenses No Required License(s) Pay Transparency Base Salary: $112,000.00 – $249,600.00 Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
