Entry/Junior level Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is a very well established manufacturer of products for the expanding electric power industry. They have an immediate need for an entry/junior level manufacturing engineer to join their staff in Memphis--They would love someone bilingual Spanish/English but it is not mandatory. They will assist with relo, but really ideally for someone who is renting an apartment who would be an inexpensive relo.This entry-level engineer is responsible for supporting production processes, learning manufacturing systems, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives under close supervision. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.Assist in developing and maintaining standard work instructionsSupport process troubleshooting on the production floorCollect and analyze basic production data (scrap, cycle time, downtime)Participate in Lean / Six Sigma projects (often as a team member)Help implement process improvements and cost reduction ideasSupport tooling, fixtures, and equipment setupEnsure compliance with safety and quality standardsWork with operators and technicians to resolve day-to-day issuesQualificationsBSME or equivalent0 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering roleBasic knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipmentIntroductory Lean concepts (5S, waste reduction)CAD exposure (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)Excel / basic data analysis
