ASSEMBLY OPERATOR III - TEJP00006559 - FAIRVIEW,NC - 2nd shift

Position Details Shift: 2nd (3pm-11:30pm) Title: Assembly Operator III Location: Fairview (current) with a future move to Arden, NC. In this role you will work with diverse teams to create a safer, sustainable, and more connected world. Responsibilities Polish and test fiber optic cables Assemble and package fiber optic connector components Terminate single and multi‑fiber cables Operate fiber router and complete over‑molding process (as needed) Support prototype product builds and test product builds, including pre‑release NPI builds (as needed) Measure components using calipers, gauges, or other measuring devices Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain traceability of product May troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment Understand cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly Perform EFG & IPC (workmanship) checks on both single & multi‑fiber termini Operate equipment safely and efficiently, using E‑Stop/Soft Stop and identifying issues Assist in estimating process step durations Suggest process changes to improve overall manufacturing efficiencies Communicate within a team atmosphere to ensure clarity of purpose & customer satisfaction After a 30‑day training period, work with limited supervision to produce timely and quality products Inspect own work and products using quality standards, work instructions, and prints Take responsibility for own work; respect confidential information shared by others Be available to work overtime to support production goals as needed Work in a clean‑room environment, wearing all required gowning garments and PPE (gowns, shoe booties, hair nets, nitrile gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes) Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience required, with knowledge of manufacturing principles such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity Minimum 1 year experience in a fiber optic manufacturing environment preferred SAP Manufacturing & ISO 9001 experience preferred Proficient hand‑eye dexterity and motor skills for intricate/delicate work Working knowledge of hand tools and blueprint reading preferred Ability to work with small parts in a clean‑room environment, using a microscope Availability to work overtime as needed Good time‑management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously Attention to detail: follow bill of material, job routers, and understand drawings/prints Team‑oriented: work effectively with others to achieve objectives and goals Credibility: take responsibility for own work and respect confidential information Safe and quality‑conscious attitude; follow safety and quality requirements Ability to move materials up to 50 pounds Ability to remain stationary for 75% of the time Ability to operate machinery and move between work zones Proficient in understanding written instructions in English #J-18808-Ljbffr WilsonHCG
