Production Manager (Fabrication)

The Position

This position is responsible for managing the daily operational needs of fabrication and supporting the development of new business opportunities and capital Investments.

The main responsibilities are:

• Manages and directs fabrication department to support sales deman
• dEstablishes operational standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery
• Establishes manufacturing policies in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and performance measures
• Oversees expense budgets to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements
• Develops capital requests as need to support continuous improvement
• Manages and ensures employee training, development, and succession planning
• Develops innovative solutions for new business opportunities
• Manages fabrication assets and ensures proper maintenance, replacement and upgrades are completed in a timely manner
• Develops and manages relevant KPIs in accordance for business needs
• Develops and manages capacity and resource planning

Education and Experience

• Required – BS/BA in Engineering
• Required – 5 to 8 years of industrial management and engineering experiece
• Required – Experience with developing functional and capital expense budgets
• Required – Experience with managing innovation & solutions
• Required – Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Required – Experience with developing and implement Lean operations
