Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Part Time Grounds Patrol in Redwood City, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a premier commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support tenants and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. In a role grounded in teamwork, integrity, and reliability, you will help create a welcoming environment while responding to site needs with agility and care.

Pay Rate: $23.40 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 06:00 AMFri12:00 AM - 06:00 AMSat12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSun12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
- Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to property management and/or emergency personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and/or the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or building surroundings while reporting security-related issues, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior according to site protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
