Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Support in Palo Alto, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $26.88 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Wed 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM Thu 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM Fri 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM Sat 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM Sun 11:00 AM - 06:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location. Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating clearly with store personnel, visitors, and management. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, stockroom areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns. Monitor access points, observe customer and employee traffic, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance issues according to site protocols. Document incidents, complete required activity reports, and support loss prevention and other security-related operations as directed at the location. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
