As a Security Officer Patrol Support in Palo Alto, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer at a premier retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming customer experience. In this dynamic role, you will interact with guests and staff, respond to site needs, and bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating clearly with store personnel, visitors, and management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, stockroom areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee traffic, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance issues according to site protocols.
• Document incidents, complete required activity reports, and support loss prevention and other security-related operations as directed at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
