Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Access Agent in Palo Alto, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $25.95 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting details and sharing information with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security‑related concerns. Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel. Support a professional environment at a technology‑focused location by assisting with visitor directions, observing for disruptions, and following post orders and Allied Universal protocols. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
