Automation Controls Engineer

Seeking an Automation Controls Engineer with minimum 7 years of hands-on, in the field experience, installing, troubleshooting, calibrating, and qualifying industrial control systems. Life Science experience is a plus. Extensive experience working with and around industrial equipment integration is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with IT and OT teams to integrate manufacturing equipment and systems into the data fabric architecture
• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for data acquisition, transformation, and transmission
• Configure and troubleshoot PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and other industrial control systems
• Ensure secure and reliable data flow from edge devices to central data platforms
• Support the deployment of edge computing devices and IIoT gateways
• Document system configurations, workflows, and integration points
• Provide technical support during commissioning and post-deployment phases

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems
• Strong hands-on experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider)
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, OPC UA/DA, MQTT, and industrial communication protocols
• Experience with IIoT platforms and edge computing devices
• Deep expertise with Ignition by Inductive Automation
• Experience working in GMP-regulated environments
• Familiarity with validation protocols IQ/OQ/PQ
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
