Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) professional position is located in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized surgical support across multiple service lines, excluding cardiovascular procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with general and trauma surgeries, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to established clinical protocols. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois license on the first day of the assignment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: ALT shift from 10:45 AM to 9:15 PM and 12:45 PM to 11:15 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience; active Illinois license (or in application process); Certifications including BLS are required; CNOR certification is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Cerner electronic medical record experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within scope to meet facility needs.
• Additional Information: The role involves working with all service lines except cardiovascular; Level I trauma experience is required; Bariatric, General Surgery, Neurology, Orthopedic, Plastic Surgery, Transplant, Urology, Trauma, and Emergency Management experience are necessary. Skills include handling specific cases such as laparoscopic procedures, organ donation, and trauma injuries. Organizational compliance and timely completion of required modules are mandatory.
• Unit Details: The position is based in an acute care, Level I trauma center with 562 beds and interdisciplinary support teams. Parking permit is provided at no cost.
