Shift Leader – Murphy's Cafe 126 (Herriman Location)

Starting at $16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience, leadership ability, and availability. Opportunities for advancement and performance-based raises are available.

Murphy's Cafe 126 is known for exceptional customer service and serving what many consider the #1 Philly Cheesesteaks in Utah . As we prepare to open our new Herriman, Utah location in October 2026 , we are seeking dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Shift Leaders to join our growing team.

All Shift Leaders will begin paid training immediately at our Riverton location before transitioning to our brand-new Herriman restaurant when it opens.

As a Shift Leader , you will oversee restaurant operations during your shift in the absence of the General Manager. You will lead by example, ensure an outstanding guest experience, support your team, and help maintain the high standards that Murphy's Cafe is known for.

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing outstanding customer service and professionally resolving guest concerns.
• Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure food quality, cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
• Lead, coach, motivate, and train team members to achieve excellent performance and maintain a positive work environment.
• Monitor staffing levels, labor costs, and workflow to ensure efficient operations throughout each shift.
• Complete all opening and closing procedures accurately and on time.
• Perform required daily administrative duties, including shift reports, cash handling, and operational checklists.
• Communicate employee performance, concerns, and achievements to the General Manager while maintaining appropriate documentation.
• Ensure all company policies, food safety standards, and operating procedures are followed consistently by every team member.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment at all times.
• Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

• Previous restaurant leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing outstanding customer service.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
