Business Development Manager - Global & Domestic Transportation

Job Overview Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Business Development Manager for our growing Global and Domestic Transportation Division. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities for our North American Freight Brokerage and International Freight Forwarding Divisions. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match. Schedule and Compensation Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm Competitive base salary and benefits package based on experience Within the first year, average Business Development Managers make between 8-10% monthly in commission on monthly profits with top performers seeing up to 18%. Job Details Legacy will support you in the following ways: Encourage professional growth and opportunities for advancement Invest in your career development Join an experienced Freight Brokerage team that combined has over 100 years’ experience No limitations and no territories searching for new opportunities and building your book of business Provide the opportunity to gain experience in domestic and international brokerage, imports and exports, and all modes of transportation solutions – air and ocean, drayage, final mile, intermodal, LTL, FTL, etc. Equip you with the tools to be successful in the full sales cycle, including Zoom Info Provide support from operations team so that you will not be responsible for cradle-to-grave cycle What to expect as a Business Development Manager: Coordinate shipments between customers and carriers Pursue new sales opportunities through research, analysis, and discovery Build new relationships, maintain, and grow existing relationships with clients Develop optimal routing and pricing solutions using multiple Rate Management Systems Be the first point of contact for the clients and ensure their service expectations are met Manage the day-to-day clients’ freight movements in collaboration with Operations Actively participate in sales meetings and reporting on sales goals, forecasting, and wins Analyze industry news and market trends Qualifications: At least 3 years of Transportation Brokerage Experience At least 3 years of New Business Development Experience Energetic, relentless, and thriving on hunting for opportunities Strong sales negotiation and closing skills Constructive problem solver Proficient in Outlook; intermediate in Excel and Word Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is an asset Why Legacy Supply Chain?
