Working Title Beef Research Project Coordinator Department Animal Science-0830 Description Of Work The University of Nebraska–Lincoln ( UNL ) is tackling the big challenges in beef production, blending cutting‑edge research with practical solutions to help producers thrive. As the Beef Research Project Coordinator , you will: Coordinate with Beef Feedlot Unit Manager, weighing, sorting, and allotting of cattle on nutrition experiments. Collect experimental data, cattle weights, feed records and packing house data. Assist beef nutrition faculty in the design of nutrition experiments and formulation of experimental rations. Compile, summarize and statistically analyze data from experiments. Procure special feed ingredients and supplies. Coordinate research of graduate students conducted at Beef Feedlot Unit. See Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in animal science or related field, plus three (3) years of research experience; OR Master’s degree in animal science or related field plus one (1) year of research experience. Project management and/or supervisory experience. Substantial knowledge of the beef nutrition system and industry. Experience with data and statistical analysis. Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to manage multiple tasks. Valid driver’s license and ability to meet University driver eligibility criteria.
