The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for executing Toysmith's social media presence across multiple platforms through content creation, publishing, community engagement, and creator coordination. This role plays a key part in growing brand awareness, increasing customer engagement, and supporting business growth through measurable social media performance. The ideal candidate is creative, highly organized, trend-aware, and passionate about social media. This position requires a strong understanding of platform-native content, short-form video, and social media trends, along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and execute content strategies that support business objectives. This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple projects, and taking ownership of assigned initiatives in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and able to identify opportunities to improve Toysmith's social media presence while driving measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation & Execution:

• Create, film, edit, and publish social media content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other emerging platforms
• Produce engaging short-form video content including product demonstrations, lifestyle content, educational content, trend-based content, and promotional campaigns
• Develop captions, text overlays, hooks, graphics, and supporting creative assets
• Ensure content aligns with Toysmith's brand voice, visual identity, and marketing objectives
• Capture both polished brand content and creator-style content designed for platform engagement
• Assist with photography, video shoots, and content collection for social media initiatives

2. Social Media Management:

• Execute monthly and weekly social media content calendars
• Schedule and publish content across social media platforms
• Support campaigns related to product launches, seasonal promotions, retail partnerships, and marketing initiatives
• Monitor social channels to ensure consistent brand representation and messaging
• Maintain organization of content assets, creative files, and publishing schedules
• Stay current on platform updates, emerging trends, and best practices
• Take ownership of assigned social media projects from concept through execution while managing priorities and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Proactively identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth through new content ideas, emerging platform features, and industry trends.

3. Community Engagement:

• Manage day-to-day engagement across social media platforms
• Respond to comments, direct messages, tagged content, and community interactions in a timely manner
• Encourage audience participation and foster positive brand engagement
• Monitor customer feedback and escalate issues when appropriate
• Share recurring customer insights, questions, and trends with internal teams

4. Creator & User-Generated Content Support:

• Assist with creator outreach, communication, and relationship management
• Coordinate product shipments and seeding programs for influencers and content creators
• Organize and maintain creator content libraries and user-generated content assets
• Track creator partnerships and campaign deliverables
• Identify opportunities to repurpose and amplify high-performing creator content

5. Performance Tracking & Reporting:

• Own social media performance metrics and provide regular reporting, insights, and actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Monitor engagement, audience growth, reach, impressions, clicks, and other key performance indicators.
• Identify top-performing content and recurring engagement trends.
• Use data and analytics to continuously improve content performance and overall business impact.
• Recommend new content strategies, campaigns, and platform opportunities based on performance results.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, digital marketing, or a related field
• Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and short-form video content
• Experience filming, editing, and publishing social media content
• Proficiency with content creation and editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere, or similar platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Creative, proactive, and collaborative mindset
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of projects in a hybrid work environment.
• Self-motivated with strong initiative and the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Results-oriented with an understanding of how social media performance contributes to brand awareness and business growth.
• Experience with consumer products, retail, toys, or family-focused brands preferred.
