What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor access points and conduct screening activities for people and property entering the location, helping to identify prohibited items and/or unusual activity while following post orders and established protocols.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entry areas, and the perimeter, remaining prepared to respond to security-related concerns in varied working environments and conditions.
• Maintain accurate logs, screening records, and incident reports, and carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site-specific requirements for an armed post.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
