Details Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM 36 or 48-hour schedules can be accommodated Facility staffs according to departmental needs and does not accommodate block or special scheduling requests Requirements Active California RN license required Minimum 2 years of ED experience required, 3 or more years preferred Recent ED experience required Current BLS certification required (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS) Current ACLS certification required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) Current PALS certification required (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) BSN preferred Prior acute care facility experience preferred Additional Information Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care needs Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans to promote health and safety Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, humane, and caring treatment Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning for continuity of care Delegate duties appropriately and coordinate healthcare team responsibilities Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction, and local rates match travel rates Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered Candidates with a prior disciplinary action on their license will not be considered All required vaccinations must be completed as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available American Traveler Job ID P-743400.
