Job Description

Job Summary:

The Cath Lab/EP Technologist performs specialized diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs, supporting patient care and ensuring optimal lab operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct advanced cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular, and electrophysiology studies with precision and adherence to protocols.
• Serve as a resource and lead worker to medical and clinical staff, providing technical expertise and guidance.
• Collaborate with the intra-procedure team to maintain patient safety and quality of care during procedures.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized equipment, recording all preventive maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret physicians' orders and protocols, selecting appropriate equipment and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay current with industry advancements by attending seminars, reading journals, and participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 1 year of experience in Special Procedures or Cath/EP cases.
• Hold current ARRT or RCIS certification and Texas Medical Radiologic License.
• Maintain active BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrate proficiency with cardiovascular technology and laboratory procedures.
• Document two recent supervisory references within the last year.
• Provide proof of taxable address, such as a driver's license or utility bill.
