About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the fast-paced startup environment, providing expert legal advice and support for the development of commercial legal processes. This role involves drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of complex commercial contracts, with a focus on those that are revenue-generating and related to the AI industry. The ideal candidate will have a JD from an accredited school, be a current member in good standing with the California bar, and have at least 7 years' of relevant legal experience, including a background in commercial technology transactions. Experience in the tech industry is a plus, but not required. Key responsibilities for the Senior Counsel, Commercial include providing legal analyses of laws and regulations, particularly in the areas of privacy, personal data, and AI, and supporting the continuous improvement of legal processes. The role also requires the ability to work cross-functionally to assess legal risks, develop creative solutions, and build strong relationships as a trusted advisor. The candidate should be adept at handling multiple priorities, have a flexible mindset, and a passion for innovation. Strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential for this position.
