Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Salary and Schedule Details Your starting hourly pay rate will be $14.00 - $15.50 depending on your skills and experience. We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training. Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, etc. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week. Average weekly hours are between 5-7 hours per week. Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required. Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. Your Role and Responsibilities Day-to-day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys for required merchandising activities. Holiday support: Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you can expect additional days and extended hours during the work week. On occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day, you may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, which may include the weekend. Department resets: You may be part of a team responsible for installations and various tasks like building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically you will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which could include evenings or weekends. One-team vision: You are part of a network of merchandisers professionals who often support other team members as needed in their territories. Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor as well as in back stockrooms, and must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must also kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday, and may be required to climb stairs and step ladders. Basic Qualifications At least 18 years of age. Ability to read, write, and understand English. Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Able to operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information. Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet. Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
