Consider an exciting and rewarding career with us and join the more than 7,000 elected officials and employees who make up our workforce and help us ensure that justice is administrated without favor, denial, or delay.Description of WorkSALARY RANGE: $38,574.00 - $63,700.00THIS POSITION IS TIME-LIMITED, GRANT FUNDED, FULL-TIME.Funding for this position will end on June 30, 2026; however, funding is expected to be continued through June 30, 2027.The Office of the District Attorney, Prosecutorial District 26, seeks a qualified candidate to provide legal support services to the prosecutors in the Mecklenburg County office.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesThe Office of the District Attorney, Prosecutorial District 26, seeks a qualified candidate to provide legal support services to the prosecutors in the Mecklenburg County office.Duties include but are not limited to the following: answer phones; assist the public; type correspondence; prepare legal documents; prepare files; assist victims and witnesses understand and prepare for court; gather information to assist in the prosecution of cases; and other duties assigned to the reception area.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:Knowledge of: court system and procedures; legal terminology; and community resources to refer victims and witnesses.Skill in: Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; accurately typing 35-40 wpm; and answering a multi-line telephone system.Ability to: interview to elicit information from victims and witnesses to assure appropriate services; coordinate and schedule the daily operations of the victim and witness program; manage the court appearances of victims and witnesses to ensure their presence in the courtroom when needed; communicate orally and in writing with persons of diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain effective working relationships with law enforcement officers, officials of related agencies and the general public; and calmly handle stressful situations.Supplemental and Contact Information:INSTRUCTIONS:Applicants must complete an on-line application by clicking the above APPLY link.
