Responsibilities include: Conduct practices, motivate student‑athletes, and instruct them in game strategies and techniques. Teach players the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of basketball. Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities and exercises, as directed by the head coach. Assist in supervising the coaching staff to ensure the program is properly implemented. Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community. Model sports‑like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct toward players, officials, and spectators. Job Requirements Knowledge of fundamentals and strategies of competitive high school basketball; ability to teach and develop players. Strong communication skills and the ability to establish positive relations with student‑athletes, parents, and coaching staff. Experience helping to build participant numbers through community connections. Completion of the annual online required trainings and West Linn‑Wilsonville employment requirements.
