We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a Staff Accountant position open for a Mortgage Servicer. In this role, you will ensure financial accuracy by managing reconciliations, AP, and journal entries while supporting close processes and audit preparation. The Staff Accountant is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include:

• Journal Entries: Record accurate, complete, and fully documented monthly journal entries to maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies while keeping audit-ready documentation.
• Accounts Payable: Process invoices, verify payments, and handle vendor inquiries to ensure timely payments and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Audit Support: Gather and organize required documentation, responding to auditor inquiries to ensure smooth and efficient audit processes.
• Month/Year-End Close & Ad-Hoc Support: Participate in close processes and contribute to special accounting projects assigned by finance leadership.

Required qualifications for the position include:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline is required
• 3 years' experience with demonstrated ability to conduct reconciliations.
• Highly proficient with MS Excel
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay Rate Range: $33.65- $36.06 per hour. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location.
