Radiology Technician - Modified Barium Swallow Studies

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician with expertise in performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) independently. The ideal candidate will have acute care experience, particularly in rehabilitation settings and skilled nursing facilities (SNF). This position requires proficiency in radiology procedures, particularly focused on swallowing studies, without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate results.
• Document procedures electronically using Meditech for inpatient records and maintain paper documentation for outpatient care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, although primarily working independently within the radiology department.
• Possibly provide referrals for outpatient care as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards of practice in all procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a radiology setting, preferably in a rehabilitation hospital or skilled nursing facility.
• Active Hawaii state license required prior to the start of the assignment.
• BLS certification is mandatory.

Schedule

Generally set schedule of 5 days per week, likely including 1 weekend day. Flexibility may be required for floating to other units or facilities depending on census and staffing needs.
