Kitchen Maintenance Position

Summary: Maintains kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition according to established sanitation and service standards.

Essential Job Functions:

• Scrapes food from dirty dishes.
• Places tableware in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans, and other cooking utensils and equipment.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
• Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Follows sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months related experience or training preferred.
• Must be available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays
• Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Regularly required to see; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to stoop, and kneel.
• Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Able to interact with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor.
