We Are Legal Revolution is working discreetly with a national full service firm with a recognized intellectual property practice seeking a mid level Patent Prosecution Associate to join its Washington DC office on a hybrid basis.

The Role

\n

\n

\n
• Draft and prosecute US and international patent applications across complex electrical and computer related technologies
\n
• Conduct prior art searches, patentability analyses and freedom to operate assessments for sophisticated corporate clients
\n
• Respond to office actions and develop prosecution strategies with minimal supervision
\n
• Collaborate with partners and in house counsel to align IP strategy with business objectives
\n
• Support portfolio management, occasional opinion work and contribute to practice and client development
\n

Ideal Candidate Profile

\n

\n

The firm is seeking a mid level Patent Prosecution Associate with:

\n

\n
• At least 3 years of focused patent prosecution experience in a law firm setting
\n
• Substantial patent drafting and prosecution experience in electrical engineering, computer science or related technologies
\n
• USPTO registration and an active bar admission in the District of Columbia or ability to obtain
\n
• A JD and strong academic credentials, ideally from a law school ranked up to approximately T50
\n
• A degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, physics or mathematics
\n

Compensation & Benefits

• $140,000 to $260,000 base salary, depending on experience
\n
