Location : This is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Rockville, Maryland, offering close collaboration with estimating, preconstruction, operations, and project leadership teams.

Note : Candidates must have 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience, including experience leading bids and trade coordination. Strong candidates should also bring 2+ years of experience taking a leadership role in bid execution, scope coordination, or estimating teams.

Job Description

• Lead the overall bid process for commercial construction projects and coordinate resources, schedules, and deliverables.
• Manage bid and GMP assembly with ownership of bid-day activities and final submissions.
• Prepare detailed estimates throughout multiple phases of design across major construction divisions.
• Lead scope writing, qualification development, and trade coordination.
• Coordinate Divisions 2, 15, and 16 while ensuring scopes are complete and aligned.
• Lead constructability reviews, systems analyses, value engineering, and alternate development.
• Help develop strategies for competitive bids and GMP pursuits.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, lead trade partner walkthroughs, and participate in client and bid presentations.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier coverage while identifying qualified trade partners for each project.
• Oversee RFI, addenda, and estimating document distribution throughout the bid process.
• Build productive relationships with clients, design teams, trade partners, and suppliers.
• Coach and develop estimating staff while promoting accountability and strong execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading bids, trade coordination, or estimating activities preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing commercial construction bid processes and GMP development.
• Experience preparing detailed estimates across multiple construction divisions.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of constructability, quality, safety, sustainability, and construction management practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and decision-making skills.
