Join our Meyer & Dana Orthodontics team as a Collections Specialist!

Essential Responsibilities:

• Monitor accounts to identify those that require action.
• Contact responsible parties via phone, email, text and mail regarding outstanding balances.
• Find solutions to resolve payment problems
• Maintain records of communications.
• Update spreadsheets.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous accounts management experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with our patients while discussing timely need for payment.
• Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) and excel.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to review and create payment plans.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding HIPAA regulations, ethical billing practices, and patient confidentiality standards.
• Team members are expected to uphold the culture outlined in the SDB Handbook, with a focus on our core values and any additional responsibilities as defined.
