Sales Manager

We're partnering with an established, family-owned manufacturer to identify a Sales Manager who loves selling as much as leading. This is not a desk-based management position . We're looking for a hands-on player-coach who will spend approximately 80–90% of their time personally selling, prospecting, developing relationships, and creating new business, while also helping support and develop an existing sales team. What You'll Do You’ll take ownership of new-business development across two established product segments serving flooring, distribution, retail, OEM, and manufacturing customers. You’ll be responsible for prospecting and opening new accounts, expanding existing customer relationships, visiting customers and prospects throughout the U.S., maintaining an active pipeline, conducting customer presentations and training, and helping create greater structure and accountability within the sales function. Success in the first year means building approximately $1M in pipeline , landing meaningful new customers, increasing field activity, and helping establish stronger CRM and sales KPI discipline. What We're Looking For 3–5+ years of successful sales experience, preferably B2B Strong track record of hunting and generating new business Comfortable self-sourcing opportunities and opening new accounts Action-oriented and comfortable spending time in the field Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills Comfortable learning and selling technical products CRM experience and strong follow-through Self-directed and comfortable operating with limited resources Honest, direct, concise communicator Comfortable being measured by activity and results Willingness to travel for customers, prospects, and industry events Experience in manufacturing, flooring, building materials, distribution, OEM sales, or big-box retail is a plus, but industry experience is not required. Previous sales management experience is also not required . A successful individual contributor ready to step into a player-coach opportunity can be a strong fit. Target base salary is approximately $125K, with flexibility based on experience, plus an uncapped performance bonus and potential commission opportunities on new business.
