Cybersecurity Architect

Position located in Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Enterprise Systems Solutions Group (ESSG), Division of Identity Management Enterprise Systems (DIMES). As an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Security), GS-2210-12, referred to as Cybersecurity Architect, you will support the development, design, implementation, and oversight of the AccessCMS platform. Basic Requirements Attention to Detail – Thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service – Works with clients and customers to assess needs, provide information, resolve problems, and satisfy expectations. Oral Communication – Expresses information effectively to individuals or groups, listens and responds appropriately. Problem‑Solving – Identifies problems, determines accuracy of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and makes recommendations. Specialized Experience (GS-12) Developing and executing security strategies in accordance with NIST requirements to protect systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. Designing and implementing Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solutions or products. Monitoring and reporting on ICAM program plans and compliance activities, tracking program milestones, and preparing internal and external reports related to ICAM governance, policies, or security metrics. Experience includes paid and unpaid work, including volunteer experience, and meets the minimum of one year (52 weeks) of qualifying experience at the GS‑11 grade level.
