Client Service Coordinator

Client Service Coordinator – Responsibilities Drive the flow of clients and pets through the hospital. Maximize the productivity of the veterinary medical team by ensuring a smooth process for clients, pets, and associates. Coordinate the care of clients and pets in a welcoming, friendly, and efficient manner, influencing clients to return and refer others. Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and route the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity of the veterinary medical team. Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs and hospital services. Assist incoming clients by completing required documentation, entering pet information and history in the computer, utilizing proper collars and tags for identification, and ensuring prompt service. Assist outgoing clients by providing all necessary instructions, information and invoices, dispensing prescription items per the veterinarian’s instructions, selling retail products and scheduling future appointments. Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and adhering to opening and closing procedures. Perform other administrative functions as needed and support the needs of our wellness plan clients. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred) At least 18 years old to perform duties involving radiography and exposure to radioactive substances One year of related experience with customer service (preferred). Medical background such as veterinary technician, human healthcare, or pharmaceutical with medical terminology training is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills in fluent English Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, customer‑service, and time‑management abilities Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and specialized software) Ability to work at a computer for long periods and stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move up to 50 pounds Good hand‑eye coordination, arm‑hand–finger dexterity, and visual acuity for keyboard and equipment use Ability to handle pets of various animals and, on occasion, exposure to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and controlled substances Ability to work weekends and evenings, including occasional longer shifts Compensation The pay range for this role is $15.00 – $18.69 per hour. The specific rate is based on the candidate’s experience, skill level, and education and may vary depending on location or applicable minimum wage laws.
