GNC Staff Engineer - Dallas, TX or Orlando, FL

About the Role Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking an emerging or experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to join our team in Grand Prairie, TX, or Orlando, FL. The GNC Staff Engineer will lead a team to perform analysis of missile and fire control system performance, develop mathematical models for 6‑DOF missile simulations, maintain data reduction tools, and present findings in internal and customer briefings. What You Will Be Doing Analyze missile and fire control system performance against tactical and flight test targets using complex 6‑DOF simulation. Develop general mathematical models for 6‑DOF missile simulations. Develop and maintain data reduction and presentation tools. Reduce simulation data and create presentations for internal and customer briefings. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or similar STEM field. Active Secret clearance required. Previous experience within the Advanced Programs Line of Business at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control. Experience with Missile 6‑DOF simulation design and analysis. Proficient in C++, MATLAB and/or FORTRAN. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment. Desired Skills Experience with FORTRAN, Ada and/or Python. Hardware‑In‑the‑Loop simulation experience. Flight software integration and verification experience. Security Clearance Position requires a government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. Clearance level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years. About Candidate Candidate should have working knowledge of higher‑order language programming, with experience in FORTRAN and/or C. Must be organized, able to assimilate large amounts of data, inquisitive, and able to work through problems with simulation operation and data reduction. Supports flight test and range safety analysis, verifying missile workflow through aerodynamic performance and mass analysis. Location & Schedule Onsite full‑time at Lockheed Martin’s Missiles and Fire Control headquarters in Grand Prairie, TX, or Orlando, FL, using a 4/10 Flex schedule.
