A highly respected, full-service law firm is seeking an experienced Partner or Special Counsel to join its Ames, Iowa office. This opportunity is ideal for an entrepreneurial attorney with an established practice and a portable book of business who is looking to continue growing their practice within a collaborative, well-supported environment.

The firm is open to attorneys from a broad range of practice areas and offers a strong culture of collaboration and cross-selling among its offices and practice groups. Attorneys are encouraged to leverage the firm's broad network of professionals to deepen client relationships, expand service offerings, and generate new business opportunities while continuing to build and grow their own practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and expand an existing book of business.
• Develop new client relationships and cultivate existing ones.
• Provide exceptional legal counsel within your area of practice.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices and practice groups to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
• Participate in cross-selling opportunities that strengthen client relationships and support continued growth across the firm.
• Contribute to business development, networking, and community involvement.
• Mentor junior attorneys, as appropriate.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Iowa Bar license, or ability to obtain admission.
• Established portable book of business.
• Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a thriving practice in a collaborative environment.
